Objectives of the TWO WEEKS TRAINING


The aim of the two weeks Training is to expose guys who will enrol to a practical and professional entry into the field of Software Development
The Training is project based(Everything you learn ,you will implement in a  real project scenario).

The 2 weeks Trainees will get an opportunity to work side by side with other Trainees who have enrolled for the full program which goes for 12 months .


What you will learn within the 2 weeks


Step 1 (Problem Definition)

Introducing the Trainee to the problem he or she will be solving (here we will discuss the Requirements Specification of the System)


Step 2 (Feasibility Study)

Doing a feasibility Study on the problem (project) to strategies on how best it can be done.

Step 3 (Analysis)
At this step you will analyse the problem in depth ,examining all the documents generated in the manual business processes.you will also interview the actors of the system to enable you understand the flow of processes and operations.


Having understood the business processes you will come up with the entities and attributes.entities will eventually form the tables of your database and attributes will be the fields of the database.
Step 4 (Database Implementation)


First at this stage you will implement what you have done in step 3 using a MYSQL Database Management System

Second you will implement what you have done in step 3 using phpmyadmin which is a web tool used to administer a MYSQL database.

Step 5 (Interface Design)


Here you will design all your system interface on paper starting with the Main menu Interface

Step 6 (Coding)

Here you start by coding your first interface which will be the Main Menu using the Java language.

After the 2 weeks free Training you will be required now to commit your self into the program if you want to proceed in depth.
You can participate in this Two Weeks Training either by attending our sessions at our Lab or You can also be guided on-line, whichever you prefer.

What the 2 weeks Trainee will be able to after the Training

Since the Training is project based :

1. The Trainee will be exposed to the practical aspect of analysing a problem that is to be computerised thereby generating entities and attributes from the problem under scrutiny.

2. The Trainee will be practically taught how come up with the database from the entities and the attributes generated using the MYSQL DBMS.

3. The Trainee will be taught how to use phpmyadmin to manipulate a MYSQL Database.
4. The Trainee will be taught how to develop the Graphical User Interface of the system that he or she is using as a test case using the Java Language.
you can choose to attend any of the following sessions:

Morning Session -MON-FRIDAY (9.00AM-1.00PM)
Afternoon Sessin -MON-FRIDAY (2.00 PM- 5.00PM)
Evening session - MON-FRIDAY (5.00PM-8.00PM)
Weekend Session - SAT & SUN (10.00AM-2.00PM)&(2.00PM- 6.00PM)
Online Session -(Trainer-Trainee arrangement)

NB:The charges for the two weeks subsidised Training is only kshs 1000
The deadline for registering for the session that will be commencing on 11th of January 2010 is on 8th of January 2010
After the 2 weeks you may choose to enrol for the full program
Last but not least feel free to come and check some of the softwares that have been developed by our Trainees which will assist you in making up your mind
